About
Why was this blog started?
I found that many people have the notion that to contribute something positive to global change and be eco-friendly, you immediately have to make huge changes to your lifestyle and spend loads of cash. While I strongly commend anyone who is willing to make immediate and radical changes in order to co-exists more efficiently, I do believe that it may not be attainable lifestyle for everyone.
Through this simple blog I would like to try and show you that you can already make a huge difference and improve your quality of life by making only minor changes to your current lifestyle. I believe that we must each find our own lifestyle that suits us best while co-existing with the planet, because if the lifestyle is not our own choosing it will not prevail.
This blog is meant to give you some ideas to make minor and/or major changes while slowly raising awareness. These minor and major changes will hopefully have a great cumulative effect. Saving a bit here and a bit there eventually starts to pile up, and if many people do the same the effects pile up even more, at least, thats the theory…
Who writes this blog?
In theory, anyone. This means, if you have any ideas, comments, tips, etc. or if you would like to guest blog send me an email at: [email protected] or use the Contact page.
Who maintains this blog?
This blog will be maintained by myself, Thomas Korthuis. I was born in The Netherlands in 1982 and now reside in Orlando, FL, USA. I do web, graphics and audio/video design. I first and foremost work for the PMA Institute. The core team of the PMA Institute is made up of my very close and immediate family and I have the honor to be a part of that team (for more info see pmainstitute.com).
My Motivation
My motivation for this blog is to contribute something. I wouldn’t dare to claim to be a completely green living individual. I have no specific or detailed knowledge about the ecosystem, global warming and terms like that except the information that anyone can find from various sources like the internet, books, personal conversations and documentaries. Nevertheless that information is enough to show anyone that there is something serious going on with our little blue planet.
I understand, what can I do?
You can make a large impact by making simple changes that could even save you time in your daily routine. Browse the site and see for yourself if there is anything you would like to do to contribute.
Good luck and happy contributing!
