A blog that attempts to provide you with useful examples and tips that could make a large positive ecological impact, although they are seemingly minor, quick and easy changes to your daily routine.

Welcome to Ecotipsforlife.com

Ecology: meaning "study of house or living relations"

What is EcoTipsForLife.com not?
Ecotipsforlife.com is not a save the planet type website. I think we can be fairly certain the planet will save and balance itself out with or without our intervention and/or meddling.

We as a human species? Not so certain. We might or might not survive our planet's balancing act. We must find our own balance, awareness and a way to co-exists with the planet in order to survive.

Ok, what is EcoTipsForLife.com then?
EcoTipsForLife.com is a simple blog with the intent to show you that you can make a large impact by making simple changes that could even save you time in your daily routine. Browse the site and see for yourself.

Kissimmee Green Place Tour

April 4th, 2011 Thomas (Ecotipsforlife.com Admin)

We’ve been buying most of our veggies and eggs at a local farm for some time now and could not be happier with the quality and taste. Since they where doing one of their tours (which they do on Saturday and Sunday @ 1:30pm see http://www.kissimmeesgreenplacefororganicvegetables.com/) we decided to take part in the tour.

Not only did it give us a better understanding of why the quality is as it is, it also gave some more insight into how and why the company was founded.

I put together a small Flickr set containing some pictures of the place:

I suggest you check out the website also: http://www.kissimmeesgreenplacefororganicvegetables.com/ and visit the actual place if you live in the Kissimmee/Orlando area.

Terra Madre @ Deep Creek Ranch

December 13th, 2010 Thomas (Ecotipsforlife.com Admin)

So this Saturday (Dec. 11) we visited the Deep Creek Ranch (http://www.deepcreekranch.us/ | http://twitter.com/deepcreekranch) for their Slow Food Orlando Event (http://www.slowfoodorlando.org/).

Deep Creek Ranch is a grass fed beef and lamb producer in Florida. Deep Creek Ranch services top chefs and restaurants within Florida and let’s you buy their beef and lamb directly.

So if you live in the Central Florida area I would wholeheartedly advise you to either visit Deep Creek Ranch or purchase their grass fed products from one of the farmers markets they supply (like the Audubon Park Community Market: Mondays, 6-10 p.m. http://apmarket.wordpress.com/).

Here are some pictures of the event:

August 16th, 2010 Thomas (Ecotipsforlife.com Admin)

As you may have noticed, I have not posted a lot of updates lately.

This is mainly due to a new project we’ll be launching in the next weeks.

It has taken quite a bit of my time, but due to the nature of the project I believe many of the ecotipsforlife.com readers and twitter followers will be interested in hearing about this new project.

I let you know the details a soon as I we are ready to launch and of course provide the ecotipsforlife.com readers and twitter followers with a special ‘pre-access’-access to the new project.

Stay tuned!
