Just something I need to get out there, it seems this year more than previous I am being bombarded with “Earth day sales”, from companies now suddenly aware of a new commercial holiday.

Of course we all know how earth-friendly full-blown commerce and consumption is (consumption as in “Use of final goods by a consumer until disposal.” ¹)

Earth day… some people try to raise awareness, some care for an entire day, and some actually care, but I digress…

State of panic: H1N1-virus

This is not really a tip just a general ramble about the state of panic being created about the H1N1 virus.

According to many sources the H1N1-virus has taken the lives of about 1000 people ^1,2 during it’s entire public lifespan.

This of course is tragic but every year Seasonal Influenza (also known as regular flu) takes the lives 36.000 people ³

Just wanted to get that of my chest…
